Option 6: Looking for Ghost Writer? The Ghost Writer fees are from $70 to $80 an hour. Lets estimate that the book will take 50-60 hours for me to listen to the recordings (in person meetings), to write, edit, research (if neccessary), design the book cover, and proofread the book + plus provide you with a printed copy of the book. [I'd also assist you with a website design.] I’ll take 30% up front, at the halfway point, and the last 1/3 upon completion. I’ll charge you the rate of $70 an hour (market rate for ghost writers is $100 an hour) at 60 hours, which will come up to an estitmated $4,200, which is negotiable.
